Megan Racing Coilovers for the NA/NB Mazda Miata Review

Megan Racing Coilovers for the 1990 to 2005 Mazda Miata have proven to be one of the more popular coilovers on the market due to the sheer features that they offer for the price. Unlike some cheaper alternatives, the Megan Racing EZ II Coilovers are made in Taiwan which generally has much better quality control than products made in China.

These coilovers offer a spring rate that’s a bit on the softer side to ensure the ride remains compliant and that on the track you get enough spring absorbency to allow the car to handle imperfections well. Springs rates on these are set (and can not be changed by Megan Racing) at 8 kg front and 6 kg rear. If you want different spring rates, you would have to go with a different brand spring such as Swift, and swap it out on your own. For 99% of drivers, I wouldn’t recommend it.

These are also 15 way adjustable, meaning you can set the ride to be ultra soft or ultra firm and 13 different settings in between. You can play with the settings to make it suit your style. Stiffen up the rear to give it oversteer, or stiffen up the front to dial in understeering.

Overall, we have found these to be a quality coilover with good performance and great ride quality on the street. Going rate for these is around $749 shipped.

Megan Racing offers a 1 year manufacturer defect warranty when buying this coilover from an Authorized Dealer.
