How do you replace an oil pump?
Replacing an oil pump can be very involved depending on the car or truck you are replacing it in. For your specific application, we recommend to ask in our car forum. Below we will give an overview on how to replace an oil pump, so for those of you who are do it yourself types or want to learn a little bit more about the how to process, you can reference the instructions below.

You would want to begin with draining your engine oil. Once you drain the oil, disconnect the negative battery cable on your car. We recommend to disconnect the battery cable so that there is no risk of spark while you are working on replacing the oil pump. Depending on where your engine is located in your specific application, you might need to remove the air filter housing. You might also need to remove the driver side wheel if your car is front wheel drive. This depends on your engine configuration, and engine size.

The oil pump is usually located right next to the oil filter, so we recommend to remove that as well. Remove everything out of the way if the oil pump is not within easy reach. If you need to remove a engine mount then be sure to support the engine with a jack. Once you remove your old oil pump, you will want to make sure that you avoid getting oil around important sensors such as the oil temperature sensor and oil pressure sensor. The oil pump will have an assembly that you will need to pack with quality petroleum jelly that will be used when the oil pump first fires up. Coat the interior of the pump with clean engine oil. Replace all parts back opposite of installation.

Do you offer performance oil pumps or ported oil pumps?
We do understand the performance benefits of using a performance oil pump, dry sump system, or a ported oil pump. Please check our performance aftermarket catalog for these oil pumps. In this catalog you will only find replacement parts, same spec as the oil pump that came in your car or truck from the factory. Use the catalog search above.

I have a hybrid engine. What oil pump do I use?
We recommend to use the oil pump that is made for the engine combination. For example, if you have a Honda Civic, and you are using an Acura Integra B18B bottom end, and a Honda Civic Si B16A2 head, we recommend to use the oil pump for the B16A2. However, check in our forum for your specific application. On some applications, if the redline is increased over the factory specs, the oil pump used might need to be a different model. It might also depend on the type of racing you are doing.
