Takeda Air Intake Parts
Takeda will serve its products to the premium automotive enthusiast that is focused on quality, performance and style. To showcase these products, Takeda will have a full video on each and every one of its intakes for enthusiasts to see the product in use on their vehicle before they install it on their own vehicle. Takeda will offer three variants of intakes including: Attack, a cold air series; Retain, a short ram intake; and Link, a combination short ram and cold air intake that can be converted to either style in minutes. Each kit comes with a filter utilizing aFe’s Pro Dry S technology. Pro Dry S Filters feature an oil-free element with deep pleats and superior airflow and filtration at 99.4% efficiency.
Takeda warrants their intake systems to be free of defects from workmanship and materials for a period of two (2) years, provided the intake system was installed in a Takeda recommended application according to Takeda installation instructions and the air filter properly cleaned utilizing a Takeda cleaning solution, Part no. TP-7015C. The Takeda warranty is for the original owner. Takeda is not responsible for any shipping expenses, replacement items, or vehicle transport fees. Takeda suggests that any cold air intake system is removed during wet conditions and is not responsible for any vehicles that ingest water. In order to return any item for a warranty claim, you must first receive a Return Authorization Number. Any item returned that is not a manufacture defect, will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. You can receive this number by clicking on the Contact Us tab and informing Takeda of your situation.
Factory Vehicle Warranty
The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act prohibits a manufacturer from voiding a warranty simply because you did not use a specified replacement part. The manufacture has to prove that the aftermarket application caused the problem. For more information, Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act
Check Engine Light or C.E.L
Although Takeda does not anticipate any CEL, every CEL will produce a CEL Code when hooked up to a scan tool. Companies such as Pep Boys do diagnostics and could provide the consumer with the code number. Takeda technicians will need to know the code. I have experienced people calling in with codes that have nothing to do with the intake system such as Gas Cap Open, Brakes, etc. Questions that need to be answered:
What is the code?
When did the light go on vs. when was the Takeda intake installed?
Is the car performing differently?
Where did the purchase the intake from?
Can you email a photo of the install?
Once you have 1-5 answered, please forward this information to Takeda.
